Mmm, doesn't look like the bike for sale is generating much interest... :( Might have to fix it after all, does anyone think these are a good idea? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260867227775?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dp5197.m570.l1313%26_nkw%3D2608672277...

Re: FOR SALE THREAD?
Is the for sale thread visible to guests / new members or does it only become visible after a few posts? Just checking as I'll need to put the bike somewhere else if so to catch browsers sorry to sound so mercenary but it's no good advertising to people who already have a Rappy

Re: Brightona
I am going to try hard to be there, need to fix exhausts tomorrow though! Dunno what time or what route (either 200 or 150 miles according to Google maps) from Somerset. I can ride in the rain but the wind better die down or else! Snap, you going? Maybe I can meet you half way and ride down together...

Re: Which Oil ?
Another one for Halfords bike-variety semi-synth. I used to have a Rover 100 [lol actually a Metro] and it ran noticeably quieter and smoother with Halfords "car" semi-synth so I've used the bike version in my bikes ever since. Must admit the Rappy is still pretty rattly even after a fresh...

Re: Please help sourcing exhaust mounting parts
Unfortunately Rob from Mito Mondo never returned my e-mails. Does anyone think these might fit? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270824922581?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Exactly the shape I want but no idea about the size! Edited to add: Here's a better picture showing the explod...

Re: How wide should they be
If you've got a naked Rappy any bars will likely fit, might have to hacksaw off a couple of inches.
If you've you a V-rap be extra careful with positioning as the clutch adjuster and brake fluid reservoir catch the horns when turning.
If you need more measurements let me know!

Re: How wide should they be
The normal unfaired rappy is 72cm.
The V-rap with horns is 75cm.
Had same problem so now have both types of OEM bars
Cheers, Bfef.

Re: Throttle assembly repairs/mods
Hi Boofhead, My Rappy had its bars changed for Renthal ones by a previous owner as he dropped the bike and bent the originals. To fit them he filed off the locating pins on both the left and right switchgear. I got OEM bars recently and a wrap of insulating tape twice around the bars was enough to s...

Please help sourcing exhaust mounting parts
Hi everybody, finally putting the finishing touches to the Rappy - mostly putting right what the previous owner broke :? Seems like he crashed it and decided to fit random parts, in fitting them he broke perfectly good bits to bodge on the 3rd party bits  The last bits I need are exhaust fitt...

Re: Gear linkage
At least with the OEM stuff you know it's going to fit right on no problems.
I'm still waiting for a couple of exhaust seals, like you ordered in July, maybe I'll get mine tomorrow!
