XTRA RAPTOR STOLEN
Hi, Sorry to report my beloved Xtra Raptor has been stolen in the south east area of the UK. Please PM me or raise an eyebrow if offered any parts or obviously the bike itself as I believe there only a few others on the road or in the UK full stop. It has a distinctive Deception carbon look transfer...

Re: Xtra Raptor/V Raptor/ Raptor 1000 Genius's required
Great, would love to meet in Lincolnshire but depends on a few things I may have to do around that time. Would also like to get a couple of other issues with the bike sorted before the ride up.
Once again, thanks for all your replies,
XR8

Re: Xtra Raptor/V Raptor/ Raptor 1000 Genius's required
Thanks Crap, very much appreciated. I just wish I had a mate or someone nearby who was into bikes and could help: I'm a bit on my own with it and don't have the work space or tools/enough knowledge to tackle the more complicated or safety compromising jobs. I'll consider the trip definitiely, need t...

Re: Leak from bottom of petrol tank
Thanks for the info BOLB. Shed Monkey - I assumed my mechanic would have tightened it up adequately when he fitted the new one, I can't do it myself as I do not have a garage or the right tools/expertise. It's going in for another repair next Tuesday so it'll get checked then. I never leave the bike...

Leak from bottom of petrol tank
Hi, A few months ago my mechanic fitted a new gasket to the bottom outlet of the petrol tank of my X Raptor. The leak has returned and once again I'm seeing green liquid stains running down the frame, inbetween the left side carbon panel just under the seat and the clutch actuator cover. I told my m...

Xtra Raptor/V Raptor/ Raptor 1000 Genius's required
Hi all, I'm looking for a Raptor head who knows their Raptors very well as close to London as possible to help me with my Xtra Raptor. i have a few niggling issues and also would like to gain more knowledge on things to look out for, and things I could be doing to optimise the bike's performance and...

Re: 3000 rpm gritch at tepmeratute under 80 deg C
Recently had a new clutch cable and actuator fitted. I commute 8 miles into central london every day, and this has never been an issue. Occasionally she is chuggy at lower temps, but I never had the full glitch that many of you seem to have experienced, and now it has reared it's ugly head. Tried ad...

Re: Bhp increase
I fitted MTC cans as the stock pipes got trashed after being knocked off in 2011. They fitted a Power Commander 3 so the new pipes were compatible with the fuel system. It was dyno'd and I gained around 6 BHP, but this only shows at higher speeds. An estimated top speed of 162 was shown on the graph...

Re: Idle RPM - how flexible is this?
Cool, thanks for the replies. Just wanted to know if there was any major negatives.
This is what I thought too, the bike always runs much better at, as you say, an idle speed of 1300-1400.
Cheers!

Idle RPM - how flexible is this?
Hi, Ever since I've had my X Raptor, she has always ran a bit rougher when the idle speed is set to approx. 1250 RPM, which the manual says is the recommended speed. Set at this RPM, I have to wait a lot longer for her to heat up - I usually get going after 20 degrees, but at this idle speed she is ...

Re: Raptor 1000 Rear shock adjuster
Yeah you're right Miz, the two silver rings that originally held the adjuster snapped away from the two prongs with the rubber cushions on the end. Sorry, I didn't explain that properly - regardless, my problem is how to mount the adjuster if I bin off the cable ties. I know a guy who does small bic...

Re: X or V Raptor Tail Hump Removal
Stupidly, I'll choose looks over practicality for now
I think my X looks very incomplete without it. It fits with the futuristic angles of the front end.
No biposto for me, grazie!

Re: X or V Raptor Tail Hump Removal
Because I want to use the tailpack regularly and I don't like how the bike looks without the tail section. The last thing I want to be doing is messing around removing the tail each time. It's mainly so I can store my Rainex bike cover, I don't have a garage and need the cover on at all times. I liv...

Raptor 1000 Rear shock adjuster
Hi, I remember reading somewhere that the bracket that held the rear shock adjuster unit was made from poor quality metal and prone to corrosion. Therefore this was a common problem across the board, and I too had to remove this part from my X Raptor as it had snapped away from the mounting rods whi...

Re: Aftermarket exhausts
I'm very late replying to this thread, but I also went for MTC cans following my stock ones being damaged in an accident in Nov 2011. I went for MTCs and they totally fucked my fuelling system up, so I had to get a power commander fitted and set up. I could tell as the bike was running very rich and...
