Re: He's baaaaack!

I did have a good innings, and I am already sorry :( :wavesad: Dan dropped around last night to bring the final payment (a box of beer). He is absolutley over the moon with the bike, both performance and condition. Can't find a blemish on it (because there isn't a single scratch on it) and impressed...

Re: He's baaaaack!......but only for while.

Hello Folks, Well.....I did it :( Sold my lovely Raptor. She wasn't getting used enough, so a mate made me an offer that I couldn't refuse. The price was highish, but he got a bloody good deal on the cleanest, most well kept Raptor anyone is ever likely to find. Check the pics and disagree if you wa...

Re: Pazzo Levers

Thanks Fausto, It's just on 9 years since I bought the Raptor new (31/01/2002) and in that time it has only covered 32,000 miles. Since I no longer use the bike as a 'daily driver' it has been a lot easier to keep tidy :) The main enemy at the moment are the freakin' huge locusts that abound around ...

Pazzo Levers

Hello Folks, Well, I bit the bullet and finally got the Pazzo levers for The Red Hoon 8) Since I heard that the Raptor brake lever is the same as the Suzuki TL1000S I decided to make it so that the levers matched. I did this by replacing the Raptor clutch perch with one from a TL1000S. Simple? Well....

Re: going to sell my baby

OMG! Looks like mine did when we had rain during a dust storm... it was raining mud! I was riding home in the dark and couldn't work out why I couldn't keep my visor clear. It took about 4 hours to get the bike clean again. We have an unfair advantage in this part of the colonies. No s...

I took the 'Red Hoon' for a bit of a blast today, finally got some time off :ride: So glad that I didn't sell it! Now I need to buy it a present - since it was 9 ye...

Re: He's baaaaack!

Much to my surprise the bike is so much easier to keep clean since I installed the Turbo-encabulator.
Not only does it increase the power output, reduce fuel consumption and improve handling, it also makes the bike easier to clean.... go figure :happyhappy:

Who was that Aussie rider?

Hey, This morning I was out on a training ride with a bunch of like minded Lycra clad loonies  Stopped for a few minutes for one of the group to fix a flat, when BRRRRRRrrrrrr....... a Xtra Raptor flew by :ride: Was it anyone here? You may have heard "YEAH!" as you rode by :D This w...

Re: He's baaaaack!

Looks great! (I've had mine about the same amount of time - there's really nothing out there to replace 'em) Incidentally, where did you get the trick 'window' clutch cover? Thanks! The clutch cover (and trick pressure plate) were made by Vandriver from TLPlanet. Van's are machined out of billet al...

Fook! Sorry to hear about your sudden stop! Is there a bingle bug going around? Yesterday I went for my first longish ride on the Ducati since my wee off 6 weeks ago (650km). OMFG! I think I should have waited a while longer. The feeling has still not returned to all of my left hand  If that'...

Holy Crap! Glad you are OK, but watch that neck/shoulder area for the next few weeks. I got Liberaced* on the way to work nearly a decade ago. Ended up under the bike which was under the car... no major injuries..... phew! But a few weeks later I could hardly move... go figure. Apparently it...

Ahhh..... there's my problem! Oops  Trying to park the Ducati like in my avatar... hmmmm 60+ km/h on a pushy seems so damn fast when you consider the lack of leathers etc. Pitching off that thing at speed.... brrrr... doesn't bear thinking of  I peddled past the pushbike shop yesterday....
