Early is good but 2 weeks was a bit short notice to do everything that i needed to drive for before xmas (no driving/riding for 6 weeks). At the pre op the nurse was saying take it easy for the week before so you are not exhausted before the op... fat kin chance, the day before I was finishing paint...

I have a pair of tapered panniers and have sewn an asbesdos mat on the bottom for heat protection but usually I put the air bed under the throwover strap which raisies them a bit more and it works... but it does bury the indicators a bit.

I tend to leave the battery in situ and just slow charge it occasionally but CT instructions are better! Re the reg rec, cant help with the wiring but when you locate it check the earth connection a even slightly dodgy earth will kill them its a classic HD flaw we always run a direct earth on the Ha...
