I hung my Wife's under the house on the massive I beams we had under there when I removed the wheels.

I bought one from this dude. Took ages for shipping but that's because I am down in the colonies!

Re: Dead Raptor
Get a newer series reg rec if you can. The old ones short everything not needed to ground so the stator is working flat out all the time. The new ones use a switch mode power supply to output the correct battery voltage and only take as much power as needed from the stator. Less heat, less fuel usag...

Rear caliper swap
Hi, Had the Wife's Raptor 1000 serviced and they borked bleeding the read brake and the caliper got cooked and locked up. Thank christ it happened gradually and she was able to safely stop! I removed the pads on the side of the road to get her home and the pistons are now jammed. Since it is $140 fo...

Re: Wanted carbon front mudguard
I have not bought from these guys but they could be worth a go. https://www.motocomposites.com/categories/shop-by-make-model/cagiva.html I bought the filler pieces ages ago from these guys. They don't do a fender but you could ask and see what they say. https://www.ebay.com.au/str/nuracingcarbonfibe...

Re: Cooling fan
I remember the fan would only turn on just before boil over on my Wife's bike.
I added a switch so she could just turn the fan on and have it run when we are in traffic or stopped. Worked a treat.

Not yet. Although I did get a notification that I have mail today so that could be them.
I will keep you up to date but it seems to be 5 days to get here, then 5 weeks for our postal system to unfuck themselves enough to deliver it.

Re: OIL or 710 for the ladies
What concerns me is that the oil, beeing 100% synthetic it is allso thiner and in this way maybee not suitable fort this older engine. That is untrue. Oil is graded by viscosity, a 30w oil is 30w oil, doesn't matter if it is mineral or synthetic or other. The difference with switching to synthetics...

Re: Exhaust Stud Length
It was $205 of our dinaros including freight 600km to me, about 116 of your quid. Should be less for you since you have more options in a smaller area.

Re: Exhaust Stud Length
Thanks. That is pretty much exactly what my wife said when she saw them too.
To continue with this project, can I use TLS exhaust gaskets from the pipe to the head? Or since I have to eBay a Cagiva one for the link between the two pipes, just eBay the lot?
Thanks.

Re: Exhaust Stud Length
I found a post on TL Zone saying cut stainless rod into 40mm lengths and trim from there, but I purchased a set of inconel studs that are M8x40mm and come with copper nuts and will buy or make come acorn or similar nuts to go over the top and protect the threads.

Exhaust Stud Length
Hey guys and gals, I have the Wife's headers off getting ceramic coated and a cracked mount getting fixed on one of the Staintunes. While the bike is down I am going to buy some stainless or inconel studs and make some brass nuts if I can't find some in a kit. What length studs are everyone using? A...
