crimping
Yes, the crimped on ends is the problem. However, apparently these guys have got a way around it, and have done quite a few raptors in the past. I'll reserve judgement until I ride it. Have heard good things about them though. So I've got my fingers crossed.

springy bits
Just thought I'd add to the suspension upgrades stuff. I sent my forks and rear shock off to "Promecha" today. They rekon they can revalve/reshim the standard cartriges. Sounds promising. Hoping to get it all sorted before the Oran Park ride day in Nov (see trackdays). I'll let you all kno...

Air injection removal
Checked out the TL forum about removing the Exhaust port air injection (PAIRS or something I think its called). They reckon it saves about 4 pounds (1.8kg's?) so I did it but found the raptor is different! So after many hours late at night with skinned knuckles, stripped bolt heads, and much swearin...

jack up plates
I just got my plates on yesterday. I started by bending the standard link in a press. This shortened it by about 4mm (raised the rear by about 6mm). This was not enough so I had to lashout on making up some new plates, only I opted for moving the hole, which the link connects too, further away (abou...

Yeah, that was awesome! That lil VFR is so quick through the twisty stuff. I had no chance. Got a really bad run with the traffic on that last session too. They put the fast guys in as well. Great day though. After seeing how the Raptor went against the Superduke, 05 Speed Triple, and the Brutale I ...

Brutale
Test rode a brutale the other day. Quite nice but I missed the torque of the raptor. It felt real small, and you sit up on top of it more. Suspension seemed a bit better planted, but it took more effort on the bars to crank it over (maybe 'cause they are narrower?). Not sure if it is worth the big p...

How fast has your Raptor been?
I got mine up to 233, man was it windy! Felt like it had more but I was running out of road/nerve.
