uk spec headlight
took my bike for mot on monday and passed but guy who tested said headlight is none uk i.e aim is wrong way so is there any way i convert it? also if not what optins do i have will a ducati monster headlight fit?

If you go down to your friendly nut and bolt shop they will have a pitch gauge and will be able to check it for certain. A finer thread(smaller pitch) has less chance of coming undone. many thanks aussiejoe, with the help of a couple of very nice members on this thread have now sorted and hopefully...

Not sure on pitch thread - I have a brembo rear cylinder and this one was recommended by the workshop who gets the Raptor when I can't fix it. As far as I'm aware the rear brake is the same on both 650 & 1000 - sorry probably not much help, but then I am a mere girl :? I am constantly being nag...

rear brakelight not working
mot time this week and checking the rear brakelight is working on front lever but not on footbrake. if its the preasure switch are they a standard size/fit if so what size is that ? many thanks in advance :thumbsup: have bridged the 2 pin conector from switch and brakelight came on so not wiring so ...

my clutch cable seems to have loads of play but no adjustment either end so reckon the previous owner fitted and aftermarket cable plus levr as a spare clutch lever came with bike. the clutch itself is fine no slipping when you give it a handfull so which clutch cable do i go for as a direct fit vir...

Even the cheapest £5 meter will be a massive help when working with electrons, just as long as it has several Ohms ranges and DC Voltage and AC Voltage ranges. good news folks is tested today and with engine not running reading was 13volts and when engine started shot up to 14.4 volts so definatly working so happy at last. thanks everyone again who gave help and advice very much apreciated the 14.4 reading was with lights off.

OK, it could be that the new one is getting warm as it is working, the old one is cold as it is doing nothing. Modern electronics mean that the output voltage is better controlled so you do not notice the difference in the brightness of the lights. Have you bolted the regulator to its fixing, some ...
