air fuel sensor

I have recently purchase a Bosch air fuel wide band sensor and display and was wondering if any-one has fitted one to a 650 raptor. It is supposed to be fitted depending upon sites 18 to 24 " past the exhaust port. This pretty much puts it at the balance pipe join and its very hard to see a poi...

Re: 650IE misfire

it's only taken 5 years but, I have found that one section of the choke or enrichment cable can seize while the cable can still work. So the choke works when cold but the one of the enrichment circuits stays on after the choke has been closed. The bike can run fine for up to 500kms then one of the p...

Re: Radiator alternatives

My 650 Raptor sunk on the side stand and dented the radiator, race radiators in Dandenong, Victoria, Australia fixed it, they do great work and it's as good as new. So a quality radiator repair shop can certainly fix them. I thought or remember somewhere that the Raptor Radiator was actually a KTM p...

Re: brembo calipers

Hi there, Ural motorcycles had brembo's fitted to some models in Australia. there is a fairly comprehensive manual available which explains brembo caliper repair in detail. http://cvkustoms.com/PDF/Brembo_Disc_Brakes.pdf of course there is lots of other stuff but it's the only place that I have foun...

Re: All hail ABSORB!

Well done guys the website was down for a few days. It is great to see it back up. I do not know how to make a contribution but if you could explain how that is done that would be great. Maybe a paypal link or something and we ask every-one to contribute a few dollars, pounds, what-ever your country...

Re: head stock

Hi If you machine the top triple clamp out to 53 mm the pinch bolts may very well dig into the fork, I tried this and posted it under 53 mm fork conversion. You can machine the bolts down and fit shims to the lower triple clamp which is what appears to have been done to your bike, but you don't real...

Re: What fuel do you use? BP Ultimate the worst performer !!

Petrol is a big topic. I think the best idea is to always use fresh fuel. I drain my tank after every ride and use it in the lawn mower or in the van, but I only ride once a month. I then fill up the night before a ride using a plastic gerry can as metal ones rust. I would also suggest going to a hi...

Re: Original Chain WARNING

I managed to safely obtain 19,000 km out of my chain and sprockets without any problems, but I did lube the chain every 300 km. I changed the rear sprocket, forcing front sprocket replacement and DID X ring chain to lower the revs from 45 to 43 teeth. I have replaced the front sprocket with a Rentha...

addition to Sam's fork chart

Sam's fork chart has been removed but is very helpful and is on the Tl1000 forum Here are the best of my ability values for a 2001 650 Raptor which probably applies to a 1000cc but cannot confirm. If it helps then great but these are my measurements, taken carefully. 650 Cagiva Raptor Notes Triple c...

I have had similar issues where it appears to be only running on 1 Cylinder. Raptor 2001 650 I do not know your exact problem but I can only share what I have found. 1. Crap in fuel bowl, filter and needle and seat. I have cleaned out the carbies several times and have been amazed that the bike even...
