Re: Exhaust Stud Length
Personally, I don't like belly-pans to disguise that Nick Don't know what you're talking about! Not sure anyone would buy a belly pan or lower just to cover the exhaust imho Just need a wee bit of polishing. Those ceramic headers do look good though, and would improve exhaust flow as well, i had the...

Re: Project Polar-Raptor
What he said , I like that it still looks like a Cagiva Raptor and not a parts bike. I am surprised by the dyno result, i would have expected a little higher but then again it could be in part due to the 2-1 exhaust. With so much effort gone into this bike i may have gone with using TLS Yoshimura he...

Re: Air box mod
pffft ! You're killing me  More specifically the airbox mod i believe you are referring to here is the snorkelectomy , simply by removing the 2 plastic air intakes on either side,or even removal of part of the airbox ,it has been proven by back to back dyno runs that this has no real benefit/ef...

Re: Led bulbs
Lithium batteries may be The Future but their weight saving is probably only equivalent to a couple of pies, and I've heard of too many disastrous fires that have wiped out whole collections of bikes due to problems with them overheating. Maybe caused by inappropriate battery chargers, but lead/aci...

Re: Led bulbs
Yes it is a dedicated unit. Not relating to leds but while on electrical why not junk a couple of kilos of lead and go with a lithium iron battery. I have had mine over 3 years now, more cranking power on startup, never had a flat battery even though bike does not get ridden all the time. Best inves...

Re: Rear sprocket carrier bolts
While we're on the sprocket subject make sure to dump that crappy 16/40 oem, very poor chain to sprocket wear ratio, dont expect it to last very long!

Re: What did you do to your Raptor today
Some say i have too much time on my hands ! Some may be right. When i see alloy i cant help to polish :D These swing arm end caps/chain adjusters are actually cheaply painted silver and not anodized as i thought they were so a coat of paint remover got them nice and shiny again and then some sanding...

Re: Tips for finding spare parts
Best bet is ebay , you will need a healthy wallet if using oem motorparts. Also not forgetting the Australian importers, Paul Feeney Group still supply some new parts.
