it simply draws air from the bottom and the top side when you do this mod. (air is sucked in the engine, and this mod lets extra air in coming from between the tank and the airbox) Air is filtered sideways, through the filter, into the throttle bodies :) dunno about the TLS lid, maybe the bolt spac...
