Luckily (for me) the Raptor got away with just a scuff on the engine case and bar end, SV wasn't so fortunate, dented tank, broken screen, broken mirror. Hopef...

Re: What did you do to your Raptor today

Had to strip the petrol cap on Thursday evening as the lock was sticking and I was going to need to get fuel yesterday as I was riding it to Bury (just out side Manchester ) about 230 miles. The journey didn't start great as it wasn't running very well, holding back and then surging but that cleared...

Re: What did you do to your Raptor today

Started on replacing the knackered seat cover today. A few set backs so far, broken fixing tabs on the seat plastics, snapped bolts for the seat catch/hand strap and absolutely soaking wet seat foam So have replaced the catch bolts with some nice stainless steel nuts and bolts and binned the hand st...

Re: What did you do to your Raptor today

Took delivery of a nice new leather seat cover for it then realised I had no staples left so that'll be a job for the weekend. The original seems to be disintegrating :o Also started checking local places that could make a small rack to take a small top box, don't need it for carrying stuff more of ...

Re: What did you do to your Raptor today

I'm lucky if I get time to ride at all these days!

Battery died on it today, luckily (well not lucky for me really) I had just bought a new battery for the SV so that's now in the Raptor and my SV is still battery-less :(
