Re: Dead Raptor
I recently had my X-Raptorserviced and a new battery fitted. On my first trip out the engine died at tick over on a couple of occasions and after a short wait, it started again. We checked all the fuses and tested and cleaned all the contacts on the relays under the seat. It turned out the the reg/r...

Re: Skidmarx belly pan
I bought one for my V-Raptor and it's a good colour match. The fit was pretty good but was far too close to the exhaust in places and necessitated a bit of surgery with the dremel. Also, there were a couple of areas of poor finish which Skidmarx said was due to a well used mould, not very helpful, n...

Re: Fuel tank
Hi, just read this post. I've had a bit of experience of the tank bubbling on various bikes. The Aprilia Tuono and Mills R were prone, but any plastic tanked bike will be susceptible. The ethanol in the fuel eventually seeps through to cause the bubbles. The local Ducati and Triumph dealers here are...

Re: Spare parts?
Thanks very much for the info. I’ll order the available one and hope to find the other some time! The ones on mine aren’t in the best condition after black tinted spray paint was removed without a great deal of success, or finesse. The rears were no problem, identical to the Ducati 916.

Spare parts?
Well, after several weeks of very enjoyable V/X Raptor ownership, I've finally discovered a problem - parts.
I'm in need of a pair of front indicator lenses for the V / X Raptor. Does anyone have any for sale or know where I might be able buy some please?

Re: New to the forum
Thanks for all the replies. I’m pleased about the VIn number information. I had struggled to find anything. The handling of the X Is good. The forks are the standard adjustable ones and the shock is an Ohlins. I have the standard rear unit but it’s in need of a serious refurb. The X is completely di...

Re: New to the forum
Thanks Keith, that confirmed the information I had. I've managed a couple of rides on the bike now and am really impressed. I'm going through the boxes and bags of bits that came with the bike. Sadly, the steering damper which had been removed has two fractured brackets. I believe it's a common faul...

Re: New to the forum
Thanks for the welcome. I guess that we are an endangered species, there aren't many left on the roads in the UK. Yes, I've had a few 2 strokes over the years. The best by far was the 2000 Aprilia RS250. I've never had a better handling bike and in the real world, 70 bhp was more than enough power. ...

New to the forum
Hi everyone. I’m new to the group. I Love Italian styling and bikes and recently bought a V-Raptor, virtually untouched with only 4500 miles. I was familiar with the engine, I bought a TL1000S new when they were launched. The mid range tuned Raptor is a lot easier to ride and a pleasure to own after...
