Annoying Tick Solved

I think it’s a combination of a few things. It’s been a garage queen for a good portion of its life and the problem was worse on the inlet cams I believe due to them being the highest point and the oil would have drained from the mechanism. The exhaust cams seem to be ok. I recon the lack of use and...

Annoying Tick Solved

Thought I might post a bit about my experience in fixing an annoying (and difficult to locate) tick. Hopefully it will help someone out as I’ve read countless threads from here and the TL forums, tried all the suggestions and fails to fix it! So, I’ve been battling for the last few weeks trying to s...

Wanted - Gear Arm

Right, I’ve managed to fudge something together. I found a lever/arm on ebay that looked similar. Only thing was it for a Honda/Kawasaki. I ordered the item on a gamble to see if it would fit, turns out the spline count is different! I lost all patience and decided to force it on. It’s a bit extreme...

Cagiva V-Raptor 1000 race bike

Patience and persistence is key, glad you’ve kept it going all this time. I’m sure the last two years haven’t helped with the project!
Rear sets looking good. Just notice the billet gear arm. Was this part of the set?
Just interested as I managed to snap mine with a misaligned abba stand! 😕

Wanted - Gear Arm

It’s a long shot but I’ve had a bit of an accident with the abba stand and have managed to snap the gear change arm the comes straight from the gearbox, joining to the linkage. Has anyone got a spare they don’t need or have any information on an equivalent I can use? I’ve been looking all week and c...

Re: Bit Green

Yeah it has definitely been looked after Andy. It had 20,000 on the clock when I got it, the last owner just had it sat in his garage. The last 3 years it probably covered about 900 miles! I’ll try and get some photos up on here when I fire the laptop up as the photos on my phone are too large! I’ll...

Re: Aftermarket clocks

Cheers Crap Tartan, will have a look.
I was just interested to see if anyone had any issues I fitting one. I can get the wiring diagrams for the clock inputs so all should be straight forward.
Just need to see if I can get a cheap female connection as I done really want to hack the harness about!

Aftermarket clocks

Hi all, I’ve been reading many posts where members have been looking into replacing their speedos. There are a few that have posted pictures but know technical details. I’m not sure what is required by the ECU to allow the bike to run. I performed a little experiment where I disconnected the clock.....

Re: Bit Green

Hi Nick, I was originally looking at the other mentioned bike before finding this one. I’ve had experience with the Suzuki v-twin from my last bike an SV1000 so know the engine inside and out and was one of the factors that swayed it for me. Like I said the bike is in really good condition Especiall...

Just thought I’d pop in and say hi. Been an owner since June and this site has been a wealth of knowledge and has helped me in a few situations already. I would like to say thanks to everyone and their contribution on the site. There are many more things I want to do to my new ride but just taking b...
