If removing, make sure you mark 'Up' in some way, for refitting. The Tilt switch kills the fuel pump, han...

'That Child needs thrashing' - an interesting insight into Raptor family life...........
I think the Rap is worth more than you will get! They always seem to struggle to get above £2.5k, must be a lack of National good taste!
Merry Xmas, hope it's good for you all.

Ouch! what a start..... If the other gears engage & drive, but 4th won't (Either way, up or down?) sounds like a strip down jobbie, sheared dog or stripped teeth sounds likely. Any graunching noises? Can't say I've ever heard of G/Box being an issue, guess everything has to happen 1st to someone...

One other thing (Which is where the stand comes in handy!) Make sure that you find the tightest part of the chain, by spinning the back wheel & trying, before you adjust!! If you adjust on the slack bit, the chain will be too tight on the tight bit, and you will trash the gearbox bearing, or cha...

What can I say? after 1 1/2 years of riding & rebuilding Raptor 1000's, I had to watch the little darling ride off into the Sunset last night - look after her, Martyn! Have to say that this forum has been almost as good as the riding, a veritable encyclopaedia of data, experience & bull####!...

Suzuki saw fit to alter the mapping, gear by gear, reducing power in the lower gears. The TRE (Timing retard eliminator) fools the mapping into top gear mode, all the time, giving a fair bit more grunt in the lower gears. There are 2 classes of TRE, std (Basically a resistor in a box) and smart - wh...
