Re: Will it / Won't it

 600 I daresay when you lives in a forest-y sort of place there's bits of trees and such to make things mucky :( but what is this 'wash' of which you speak? :suspect: It didn't piddle on me :tada: The mechnik thought she was ticking over too low so turned it up, sounds wrong to me now, but...

Will it / Won't it

Took her ladyship to the bike fettlers to get her glued up brakes massaged into health first thing... It was drizzling, and slimy roads.

It's flag-cracking and shiny blue sky now.

What are the odds that it'll be raining again by the time he phones me that she's ready?

Re: End of an era ...

Well it’s happening... plan A of a scrambler icon dark 800 got scrapped due to Ducati not being able to supply one in time for my March birthday (despite ordering it in December), plan B of a 800 full throttle, and then paint it black , got scratched when I discovered the dealer had a pre registere...

Re: Throttle response

Righto, I've been riding mainly the raptor for a long while, I know changing up with the scooter was a "laugh" when I hit the wrong lever
Slow start sounds scary, I need zilch to thirty pdq from home most days

Re: Petrol Tank

I know this is a wrong thing but:

I have a swelled tank also, and to fit it back after changing the air filter (after hours of blood, sweat, tears, swearing and more swearing) I sacrificed the top hat washers at the headstock end since I'm techno-dumb and not capable of making a new rear fitting

Lifting it from the ground I found do-able as long as the tank's near empty.
mine also has 'war wounds'

And the reminder to check tyres was apposite, thank you

Oooh welcome in. :) Advice? Well.. Ride and enjoy mostly, a rare beast that's classic uncommon yet not exclusive. Basic maintenance and care will see you enjoying for large amounts of miles. Pet your bike, talk to it, they're multi lingual, speaking both Italian and Japanese fluently but u...

Re: Front spark plug

This is excellent tweaking, thank you for the info.
I'm still riding with a mud flap attached behind the radiator to protect the front cap, must be more than ten years since we did that little adjustment.

Local guy made one for mine an age ago, he cut notches into a socket I think it was twenty eight or twenty nine mm.
