Re: Raptor 650 for Racing

p.s. I that THE Mike Edwards of old-skool SS600 and new-skool singles racing on a SZR660???? If so we're not worthy!!! Yeah, it was quite amusing. One Mike Edwards owned the bike and co-founded the MiniTwins race series and the other one rode the bike that weekend. The commentators hardly kn...

Re: Raptor 650 for Racing

We got 72 hp out of the Raptor 650 I built for the MiniTwins class here in the UK. We fitted R6 fork internals and modified an Ohlins shock from another bike. Engine was the carb. model updated with the cams from the fuel injected model. We used standard headers with a minor modification plus a coup...

Fancy a Raptor 650 Race Bike

Running a competition to support our race team. We race in SuperStock 600 and SuperStock 1000 at World SuperBikes. Giving away the bike, race entries, tyres and spares if we sell enough tickets. Either way the competition closes on the 4th February so we'll either give away the bike or give everyone...

The SV650 used carburettors between 1999 and 2002 so any engine from that period will work.

The newer the engine the more power it made. Note that the Raptor engine actually 2001 engine casings fitted with 2000 cams and other internal parts.

Re: Mike Edwards on SKY

Got any comments on the Raptor set up you might like to pass on? Spending a grand or so on the suspension makes the biggest difference. Custom made Ohlins rear shock (still on original suspension linkages) couple with R6 race cartridges with Ohlins springs, etc. in the forks. When I rode it with 8....

In that particular instance the bike was mine but the rider was the 'other' Mike Edwards (ex-British SuperSport 600 Champion). Normally it's me riding but so far back you don't tend to see me on the telly! Mike was having a one off ride on the Raptor whilst Matt Bond (no. 63) was riding the my SV650...

Help Support Our European Superstock 600 Campaign!

We are planning on contesting the European SuperStock 600 class with Matt Bond in 2006. To do this we need to buy a couple of new GSXR600K6 machines and prepare them for racing. That means we need to raise some money so we are running a competition to give away my Cagiva Raptor 650 MiniTwins bike, p...

Win A Raptor 650 Race or Track Day Bike!

Hi, Have you ever wanted to race but not been able to afford it? How about a full season of racing, including the bike, tyres and entries for just 20 quid. Sounds to good to be true? It isn't and www.givemethekeys.com are giving away just that. More importantly any profits from the competition are g...
