Re: Isle of Man TT - A Marshals Perspective.

Planning ahead is essential if you are thinking TT.
Often folk book the crossings for next year whilst they are over.
If you leave it until after Christmas, you are probably too late.

Manx Grand Prix & Southern 100 are less fraught.

Isle of Man TT - A Marshals Perspective.

For any that may be interested, I have marshaled for the Isle of Man TT Races every year since 1988. I am starting out with a blog. Don't expect it to be a detailed report on the racing, there are far more detailed & better equipped resources for that, http://www.manxradiott365.com/ for instance...

NW 200 Documentary.

With this year's event almost on us, here is an absorbing documentary about the North West's history.

Re: V-Raptor 1000 Screen

That Jap screen is neat enough, if a little bland looking.
Where do they get that price from!

I have a skidmarx screen on mine.

I think its oddball looks suit the VRaptor.

It works very well indeed. :)

Re: Paintwork

Very decent of you to offer your knowledge and experience. Actually, I do have a painting related issue I am stumped with. I am wanting to respray a spare V-Raptor petrol tank & am having great difficulty in preparing it. It is a plastic tank, which I think wasn't prepared properly the last time...

Re: Handlebars

Just a single wrap of insulation tape on the bars & under the edge of the switch housing works great if it is a little slack.

Re: LEAKING RADIATOR?LOOK HERE!!!

BHM Compak Radiators gave me good service quite a few years back, when they custom built me a one off first class oil cooler for a decent price too. They don't seem to have a web presence but a google search should come up with at least a phone number. They are still going in Kenilworth Coventryish ...

Very nice job.

Did you do it yourself & is it a 'outsourced' spray job?

Re: Handlebars

Knobbly bits are always a PITA anyway.

I always file them off when I change bars.

They stop you from rotating a conventional handlebar for comfort.

Re: Rear Caliper - Seals

Surest way to make sure you have all the air out is use a hand vacuum pump.

A lot quicker & more thorough bleeding.

If it is still spongy after that it'll probably be m/c seal blow by.

Re: bigger screen for baby rap??

Isn't the headlamp a 7" unit?

A generic flyscreen from MPS is pretty good.

Kappa or Givi slightly larger screens are very good too.
