Re: Speedo drive
Hi, they all have 4 lobes for the sensor to pick-up on, there are links in the speedo to alter whether it is Mph or Kph, but they don't seem to be user friendly. If you follow the wiring from your sensor to just behind the frame tube, you will find a little plug-in gizmo, if you remove this your spe...

Re: rear plug coil ?????
Have you run some injector cleaner through it?
Have you checked TPS?
What temp are you showing when running?

Re: MIVV Silencers ??
They are MIVV Exhausts, no way are they silencers.
Maybe "thunderers" would be a better name.

Re: Clutch casing
Thanks for the replies but I don't think I explained myself properly, I should have said crankcase cover (clutch side), on the SV it is a one piece affair not like on the Raptor and TL which is two piece having a seperate clutch cover so if it would fit it would eliminate the leak problem. The cove...

Re: Annual Raptor meet UK 2016 Lincolnshire 15th-17th July.
I was taking it for the MOT and it started misfiring running in one. I have drained the carbs and fuel tank so fresh fuel. I changed the plugs and checked for a spark. Nothing else so far. It has sat in the greenhouse all winter because the shed was full of stuff out the house. It is back in the sh...

Re: No main beam or dip, no electric start
Hi, could be all sorts, I'd check what voltage you have to the common on the dip/main switch, as it could be either the dip/main switch or the lights on/off switch (do you have either a side light or tail light, as this would point more to the dip/main switch).

Re: The outfit has landed!
Yay good to hear you're home all OK, I did worry, knowing how much piloting those things can take it out of you :ride: Have you got leading link forks on her or a steering damper ? (I didn't look) My 250 outfit shook to bedamned upto about 18mph so was hell at slow speed I was planning on a damper ...

I think the original exhaust has a dent already, but after markets do not, the dent is on the inside of the left hand link pipe where the chain passes closest.Lexio62 wrote:55 years agoWhat part of the exhaust?bazzywazz wrote:55 years agoWith jack up plates and one cm longer shock I had to knock a dent into the exhaust to clear the chain.

Bit more fettling on the Rap, I've fitted a hardwire kit for my SatNav and what a ********** mare I had trying to get the tank back on, I undid the 2 front mounts and lifted the tank on its rear pivot... ummm mistake When trying to bolt it back up the 2 front mounts were 1/2 an inch away from the h...

Re: Need brake and mirror assembly that clamps on bars
Hi all. Fitted after market mirrors with built in indicators as seemed best option for my mod. One of the bolts snapped so fitted old mirror back on temporarily but it snapped the clamp that mirror screws in to including brake master cylinder so need a new one for my 2001 Yreg V raptor 1000. Any id...

Re: Rear Shock Longevity?
Well.... good news and bad. I'm thinking the 'noises/clonking' at the rear may well be caused by the dog bone & plates occasionally not lining up as the axle moved. Hi, the noises were more likely to have been the rear disc moving about in the calliper, the axle would not have been moving, it w...

Snap.. Have also got an XT500 and an Ironhead engined chop. A man of obvious taste & it seems we’ve trod the same path to the Rappy – perhaps it’s just a modern well put together Darmah. I see you changed the wheels, gawd wasn’t the rear cush drive ‘kin awful. And also see you’ve ditched the ai...
