Re: Help me.....

LOL, yeah the hipsters do seem to be dead set on resurrecting brown as a colour, seems like they don't remember the 70s. Or was it the 60s?!

Re: Monster cowl on raptor 1000

Looks pretty good, but the cowl from pretty much anything with a round lamp should work. Have a look around the site for the paint codes and get it painted to match, maybe? I can't see any skinny front struts on that front mudguard - has somebody taken the easy option and removed the bits that keep ...

Re: Help me.....

Meh, Ducs are like arseholes & opinions these days...i.e. everybody has one! They've definitely lost the "exclusive & exotic" cachet that they used to have before they invested so heavily in their sales & marketing arm.

Re: Annual Raptor meet UK Lincolnshire 17th to 19th of July

Thanks sheb, looks like you caught both days of summer?! Pix could be more incriminating, but maybe you're keeping them for personal purposes. Poor show from the lads! I think I need a new tattoo now, I don't have a bike one yet, I'd been planning a big manga version of my beastie but a celtic round...

Re: Dropped bike, interesting faults

Ah yes, makes perfect sense now. In my drunken stupor I wasn't sure if "pot" was engine cylinder or brake caliper cylinder, at the time it seemed feasible that "choke hanging" and "siamese" were some new-fangled terms that hadn't made it to the colonies as yet. It's alw...

Re: Dropped bike, interesting faults

[Hic!] After two pints of iced tea I don't understand the "front pot choke hanging up at the siamese bit" part. But any acco that is mainly a learning experience is a comparitively good acco, so I'm glad about that part. (That's Aussie for accident, by the way, Down Here we put "Oh&qu...

Re: What did you do to your Raptor today

Hah, you got me there for a sec. Yeah rim stickers have never floated my boat, but then again I care more about riding than washing usually, and stickers would just piss me off if I put them on only to get them slightly Scottoiled. If I ever do my wheels it'll be to "Scottoil gunk grey" fo...

Re: VRap 1000 pump siezed.

It can be really easy to clear, just pull off the breather hose and carefully unscrew the "bleed nipple thingy" from the plastic tank. At times like these the search box is your friend - type something like OVERFLOW or BREATHER into it and you'll probably find many previous discussions.

Re: VRap 1000 pump siezed.

If she's sat for ages then I'd guess it's probably the pump, but as the fuel pump and the injectors both use their own relays and they are the same then you could rule out the relay by swapping over the two relays that are the same under the seat, the yellow one is the main relay, the one in the mid...
