What is this thing?!

I was reading through Craigfell's Rusty work Hoss thread earlier and I spotted something interesting in one of his photos. Basically it's a bit of small pipework under the tank, it jogged a memory so I looked at mine and found it had become disconnected on one end of the T-piece. I've attached his p...

Link to my google drive. The workshop manual is massive 360MB but the owners is only 4MB.

Cheers, HiFi.

Interesting problem :D I suppose you could just keep posting to this thread, don't suppose you need to wait for replies particularly!

Re: Front Sprocket Bolt Removal

Thank you very much for the replies nickst4 and andybaggies, I must admit I hadn't considered that lining up the chain would be so crucial as I naively assumed the sprockets would line up the same as the ones that came off. Certainly food for thought. The YouTube video in swm's link made it all look...

Re: How to drain stale fuel?

Many thanks andybaggies for your detailed reply. I was overthinking the problem it seems - the simple solution of siphoning it out never even occurred to me  a trip to Halfords it is then!
By the way, what do you actually "do" with stale fuel, I mean how does one dispose of it :?

How to drain stale fuel?

Hello again :) My Rappy has been sitting for ages with about a fifth of a tank of fuel and I need to drain it out and refill with fresh before I attempt to start it. Can anyone tell me the best way to do this please? I can see three pipes coming off the bottom of the fuel tank, one must be flow and ...

Re: Front Sprocket Bolt Removal

Hello Raptor Gods :) As part of my ongoing plan to get the "X" back on the road before the spring runs out I need to change the chain and sprockets on my bike. I'm reasonable mechanically sympathetic but have never done this job before. Is it something you think an enthusiastic amateur cou...

X-Rap Steering Damper For Sale

I don't really get on with the steering damper on my X-Rap so I took it off this weekend, thought I'd see if anyone here fancies buying it. There are a couple of caveats though as it seems that the previous owner may have messed around with it a bit. 01.jpg Basically, it looks like the clamps around...

Bit late to the party, but I'd like to mention the clutch switch. Have had some success fixing a 3000rpm glitch by replacing the clutch switch with a new one...
