Fork repais/replacement
G'day everyone, when I was washing my bike the other day I noticed the forks were starting to get a little surface rust on the bottom of the legs, so I guess it's time to repair or replace them before they chop the seals out. So I have a few questions. What is the best option for replacing them? Or,...

Indicators
G'day everyone, My front right indicator broke for some reason & is now hanging by the wires!! I want to replace it with an original for now until I find some nice sleek carbon ones to replace the lot. Are the indicators on a Raptor a generic one? or are they a factory item? If not, what bikes h...

Re: Fuel leak
Thanks everyone for your input, I never thought of running the engine with the tank propped up while the fuel is under pressure to check for leaks...I should stop drinking so my brain isn't in neutral all the time!! lol. An interesting point made by Miz was about the mounting plate & it's tubes ...

Fuel leak
G'day all, My Rap has developed an annoying fuel leak that weeps out from under the fuel tank and then runs down the left side of the Rap's frame. Is this a common problem with Raptors? I removed the tank to inspect where the fuel was coming from and it seemed to me that the cause was the dodgy fact...

Easy clutch cable fix
Hi everyone, the other day I asked for help with a broken clutch cable...thanks to everyone who helped. :D What I ended up doing was purchasing a cable that was a couple of inches longer than the Raptors (it was off a Honda, what Honda I don't know!!). * I then measured the original Raptor cable (br...

Busted clutch cable
Hi everyone, Went on a 250km ride with some mates today & then a few corners from home the clutch cable broke. :x I know in the past I've gone on about hydaulic conversion, which I have most of the bits for. However I'm not quite ready to do it yet as I'm still chasing a carbon SV/DL1000 sprocke...

Re: Chain, sprockets & swingarm
Thanks for the tips. Looks like I'll be machining the carrier, only have to muck around with it once then!! & there are plenty of trick looking Busa sprockets around that have annodised alloy centres with steel chain rings (plus I'm trying to keep every mod I do based around Suzy bits anyway). O...

Chain, sprockets & swingarm
G'day everyone, My Rap's clocking up the miles & will need new chain & sprockets soon (bike only had 2218 k's when I purcahsed it 2 years ago, got nearly 30,000 k's on it now). So does anyone know who makes a set for Rap's, or is there another make of bike that has the same set? I gather the...

Hydraulic clutch, brakes, tre & carbon bits
G'day all, I hope everyone had a great Christmas & all the best for the new year. I've saved some cash to 'bling up' my bike, but before I do, I need some questions answered so I don't waste any of the money! Now from what I've read on this site, the hydraulic clutch conversion seems relatively ...

Throttle assembly repairs/mods
G'day all, my bike ('05 Raptor 1000) was knocked over by a useless forklift driver last week  . The damage is very minor, however I am finding it very hard to find parts here in Australia. On the up side my helmet was a very good crash knob (was on right mirror) and now I get to pick out a ne...

Re: Fuel cap seal
Thanks for your help Miz, that makes a lot of sense. And why didn't I think of that? I knew it would be something simple !!
I'll get onto it today as it's pouring rain so I've got all the time in the world.
Once again, thanks
Cheers, Boof
