Re: Rear Brake Lock-up - very scary!
Had something similar happen years ago on mine but wasn’t too dramatic luckily enough. Anyway, it was my MC that was goosed so replaced it and all fine ever since. I did strip the calliper and replace all seals as it had been heated a lot and put in new pads as Excess heat isn’t good for the pad mat...

Re: A simple wheel lift
Great solution!
I must admit I use an ABBA stand snd all I do is jack up the front until the swing arm is at right height for rear wheel!

Re: Fowie fest Scottish Borders 9th of May 2020
You may have had it, got through it and then be immune by then Norrie so maybe just wait n see?
I can understand if you just want to cancel it all completely just now so it’s not sitting in the back of your mind?
Could always just delay it until this is kinda behind us all?

Re: Fowie fest Scottish Borders 9th of May 2020
And there’s the rub Norrie! I wouldn’t make any definite decision just now as it’s a good way off, leave it on as it is with no pressure or commitment then re-assess nearer the time? Things may be in a different place by then and after all this shit, god knows, people will be glad of a release if th...

Re: Fowie fest Scottish Borders 9th of May 2020
Aye got the removal next week and back up to south Uist.
Mel got offered her dream job and it’s great schooling for the wee one.
It’s a tough call what with all this happening but even if you go ahead are people going to be able to come?

Re: Battery removal
Remove side panel, drill hole in side of battery box at bottom, it’s easy to do as it’s plastic (don’t drill into battery!!)
Use a small screwdriver in hole to lever battery upwards to grab hold of.........
How do I know this you say...........
I have a hole already!

Re: wiring diagram and indicators
When you operate the switch can you hear the relay clicking on/off?
Are they standard indicators with bulbs or led replacement type?
The indicator relay is under the seat i think?

Re: Aprilia swing arm shock choice ? ride Height
If it can physically fit in the space then it’s just a case of matching the top mount as the bottom is a combination of triangles and dog bones which are easily altered or new one made to accommodate new shock.another issue with an adjustable one is siting of any remote reservoir

Think it is as frame apparently is, the wheel spacers etc may be different as the 650 has a narrower wheel

Re: Leaking?
You have front sprocket and chain behind there so could be chain lube? Also the clutch pushrod come out just behind that little cover that’s stained so if the o ring is leaking it could be engine oil? Take both covers off and see where things look a bit wet and trace from there. You will have to cle...
