Re: 650 and 1000 parts list
Thanks mate, appreciate the effort you went to, will be a good reference for anyone that has the problem Ozzraptor had, knew you were the guru when it comes to things like this

Re: Help , what is this connector/sensor for?
Cool, let us know if you get it sorted. I'm not certain about the current situation, but as far as I know, Paul Feeney used to be the importer for Cagiva but is no longer. I didn't think they could actually get parts, but just were selling all the Cagiva parts they hadn't got rid of when they stoppe...

Re: Help , what is this connector/sensor for?
So have you it sorted Ozz from that second wiring harness, or you still need to get it. Just saying, but would be nice to have some fellow Raptor enthusiasts in the UK that could get parts delivered from oemparts to the UK and send it out to us in Australia via Royal Mail so we don't have to pay the...

Re: 650 and 1000 parts list
It looks like it is item number 9 (vehicle safety system) on the wiring diagram. If you find it Crap Tartan(hate calling you by that derogratory name)on your bike, maybe you can check it for resistance etc and see what's in it. I posted pic on this thread of it http://www.raptorchapter.org.uk/viewto...

Re: 650 and 1000 parts list
Is that part exclusive to the Raptor Ozz, or is it on the TL1000s too? I did a bit of a search the other week and couldn't see it on the Suzi microfiche. I do have that spare one here mate, but it would be nice to work out what's actually in it, but I'm not that much of a electronics guru, I think C...

650 and 1000 parts list
Just stumbled across the parts lists for the 650 and 1000 raptor if anyone wants it. 1000/v-raptor/x-tra raptor http://forum.cagivisti.de/forum/index.php?page=Attachment&attachmentID=2418&h=909703a8f95acf6efd87778e6f3a7633ba7bad87 650 http://cagiva-wiki.de/data/_uploaded/downloads/Raptor_650...

Re: Help , what is this connector/sensor for?
Hey Miz, I've been slowly buying up parts out of Europe that will be hard to come by in the future as getting parts here in Australia can be a nightmare. That's a good idea mate, so let us know how you get on Oz! If you live on the East Coast, I'd probably be able to get it to you for nothing either...

Re: Help , what is this connector/sensor for?
Just remember the numbers I listed are for the 650 model. Attached pics of the switching blocks and the connector with the red bit removed. See how you go getting parts, I obviously have a spare switching block and would probably have a spare connector, but a little reluctant to part with the parts ...

Re: Help , what is this connector/sensor for?
Just went and pulled what I thought was that blank connector out of my bike and it lost the neutral light and wouldn't start. I've got a parts list for my bike (650 Raptor) and it is called a starting safety device, but on this site http://www.oemmotorparts.com/oem5.asp?M=Cagiva&T=RAPTOR%20%2065...

Re: Help , what is this connector/sensor for?
I thought they were just a waterproof wiring connector that goes to nothing, and has a blank male connector that has the rear of it filled in with epoxy or something similar. I took that pic of my spare wiring harness and you can see the blank on the left and one connector wired in(I think it might ...

Re: Where have they all gone?
Unfortunately it's not quite that good of a job mate, I take 9 bikes at a time on a lorry and do the run from Brisbane to Cairns up the east coast, usually takes me 4 days and drive about 3700 kilometres(2300 miles). Do have to ride most of the bikes on and off the truck though, but I would of never...

Re: Where have they all gone?
The Kiwis have an amazing ability when it comes to working with mechanical things, the Britten motorcycle was another example of this, and it was a New Zealander that built all the vehicles in the Mad Max movies. While on the subject of Indians, I deliver bikes up the east coast of Australia and I h...

Paul Feeney still has some Cagiva parts, I got the rubber chain buffer that goes around the front of the swing arm a few months ago. You can contact them via their ebay store http://stores.ebay.com.au/paulfeeneygroupptyltd/Cagiva-Parts-/_i.html?_fsub=4707710018&_sid=1029183168&_trksid=p4634....

Re: Petrol Petrol everywhere
If all else fails, heat the nut up with an oxygen acetylene/propane/LPG heating torch. Be careful where you point the torch, and put the heat into the nut only(aim at the flat outside edges) and have your rattle gun ready to go. Once it's off, cool down the output shaft with water or a damp rag. I h...
