Ah. ..just read your advice shed monkey! I've buttoned it all up now with my new seal in place..... I only shaved it down a bit and still have the seal quite well seated.....will.start it up and see what happens! Well...got a new seal.... Ground a couple of mm off the inserts ... And flip me if the mutha Hubbard is still weeping oil out of the top side edge...... Does it get air compression in the clutch casing......??? Any other ideas....? My next attempt will be to put the cover on a flat sanding area and ...

Cleaned it all back again...presented up totally clean of goo and rubber ring gasket. It's about 2mm out between 12 o'clock and 2 o'clock. ...no way of pulling it back into anyway near flat using the bolts. Any mcguyver type ideas???? Tried my black gasket sealer previously but no good... Maybe get ...

Oops. ....alcohol induced non vision....didn't zoom in on the pic.....looked like finger guards....just your mirrors crossing the end of your levers made me think they were m/cross type lever guards...

I cleaned up both sides..applied instant gasket...tightened enough so a got a good bead around the circumference....and it still bloody leaked!
I'm going to check the inserts this time.....lol.

Hi there. I've got an xtra...saved mine up from a salvage yard. Id say your tank has been redone as the graphics are large...I've got some spare small ones if your a purist. Also your mirrors look like v raptor type. .xtra raps are rectangular and are also pretty useless. I had to scour the universe...

I know this topic had probably been done a few times.....
But has anyone got a decent fix to it?
Is there a torque setting for the bolts....any particular pattern to put them back in to get the best even seal?

Thanks for all your info....
