Wiring diagram

An obvious point, but didn't we have a discussion some time ago about the fuel pump needing a higher-rating fuse than the original? Maybe that was on the Gran Canyon forum...

What did you do to your Raptor today

It probably ought to be posted elsewhere but having described fitting higher 'bars on my 1K here, I better add the follow-up in the same place. I thought at the time that I'd managed to re-route the OEM cables and front brake lines satisfactorily to permit the fitting of 'bars approx 30mm higher. As...

1000 project bike for sale

Well, advancing age is inevitable but it's sad that you've become disenchanted with motorcycling. Maybe your local roads are in as bad condition as mine? Or is there just too much traffic on the roads in Kent for fun riding? Whatever, I hope you can shift some of your stuff on to good homes. Cheers,...

X-rap found on Ebay

Been on there a few weeks, and asking price doesn't necessarily reflect value until someone puts their hand in their pocket!

It's not just any reservoir that can be a problem; the adjuster valve at the base of various Aprilia shocks needs more clearance than is available. Of course you can change the suspension triangles for increased ride-height and buy some clearance, but that gets into changing the geometry too.

Welcome Muddy! Those 650s are few and far between in the UK, but are nice bikes with a very willing engine. As regards the shock, not all the suggested alternatives will fit as regards adjusters at the base, and aftermarket options made from CNC alloy tend to be too bulky at the top eye to mount to ...

Carbon Bits

Says from 5 to 20 giorni, which apparently means 5-20 days to be made, but despatch to the UK could be protracted and expensive, courtesy of B***it!

Brutal(e) weather?

UK weather wet and windy but not too cold though. So much for my plan to migrate south for the winter!

Awesome!

So the Brute would suit anyone thinking of going off-tarmac and fording rivers? Who knew?

Brutal(e) weather?

As it gets colder in the UK and the roads get muckier, the fair-weather occasional riders amongst us (me, that is) feel less and less inclined to take nice bikes out for a spin. It struck me this morning that spring should be well on its way in the Antipodes, which is a lovely thought. Hopefully Tre...

Seat release cable.

Hi there, I replied and included a photo of the arrangement sent from my other computer but that doesn't appear to have got through, even though it was posted beneath your query i.e. presumably the right web address. Might our illustrious web-master be able to locate that contribution? Maybe someone...

YSS Rear shock

Andy, Glad you are pleased with the YSS shock. I was looking at one for the Duke HyperStrada but Brook Suspension put me off, saying they are rather basic and not tailored to the rider, being made in Thailand to a standard spec. Just today I've received Brook's recommendation for both ends of the HS...
