Re: Batteries
If thinking lithium(if they are available for bike use) then be cautious as the charging currents will be different to lead acid and you may wreck it unless a reg/rec which is compatible is fitted. They are available, but expensive like you have seen.. :pinch: But its easy way to save weight of you...

Re: Batteries
I keep hearing about some sort of new type batteries that are smaller and more efficient than the standard gel one's I've been using for years. Having just slave started Rappy from another batt that I'd had on trickle charge (due to not being out on her for a good few weeks no doubt) I was wonderin...

Re: Renthal flat bars ?
I have had LSL narrower street bar (above) without problems if I remember right. This winter I changed to LSL naked bar (below) and I had to replace throttle cables, old ones were too short and other cables had to reroute. Brake line to brake cylinder is now tight and should replace to. http://www.s...

Re: Clutch cable for v raptor?
I believe Venhill will make them to order. I have a TL1000 one on mine (the S, I think the R is a little longer) the curved hard tube is different and the top toggle a tad smaller (as I recall there's a nylon sheath for it which helps it fit) mine's been on a good few years now so maybe they've cha...

Re: My new toy
Welcome in !
Raptor 125 is a good bike to start with.
My first motorcycle was also red Raptor 125 and that was a good bike, derestricted of course..
I'm having now V-Raptor 1000, but I've been thinking where to go when I want bigger bike ?

Re: Front forks
Finding nice forks is the easy bit, getting them to fit properly is the hard bit without getting custom made yokes which are very expensive. Then there is the wheel spindle issue and also brake alignment. Oh and happy christmas to you too Monster S4R forks are 43mm USD forks like Raptors original o...

Re: Rear shock
if you want fully adjustable you are best with a shock with remote reservoir. Even if it will fit in the space the heat from the rear pipe will affect the reservoir so i would go for one with a remoe reservoir so you can get it right out of the way. Remote reservoir would be best, you are right. I'...
