Re: head stock
I was just referring to the SV650 racing community - not the actual bike. I will try to find time to create a table / chart so we know what parts will measure up with the Raptors. Because the sv650 is such a popular race bike, but requires suspension upgrades (as do the raptors) there's a lot of goo...

Re: Top yoke
These were on my bike when I got it. Not sure what they are but they're not factory.
I may end up changing to clip on's eventually. So would consider selling.

Re: head stock
We need to get a table drawn up that says what fits with what. The SV forums are all over this, but the raptor isn't raced like the sv650's are so less modification work. From what I know, the 748/916 triples will work with the Cagiva, but you'll need to use the 748/916 forks too. If you go for the ...

Re: Raptor 1000 project
As good as it looks, I think a proper race shock is better money spent. The ones raced in the UK and one raced here that was successful retained the standard swing arm. Geometry and suspension is the main focus.

Re: Raptor 1000 project
I'm considering the swing arm mod - but think the cost of it will probably out weigh any increase in performance.
'Crap Tartan' may have some triples for sale - not sure where you are based though?

NIce - I'm doing a similar setup - but will retain the Raptor triple clamps.

Re: New to the Raptor
What model forks and wheel did you run? I've found 1000DS forks for a good price - and then I can retain the Cagiva callipers as they are the same. So less likely to get questioned at a race meeting :) You can retain calipers, but you need at least new discs because Ducatis uses 320mm discs. Calipe...

Re: New to the Raptor
I see that you have fat bars what type of risers are you using ? Thanks K Not sure what the risers are - the bike was set up like that when I purchased it. They don't look as good as the factory set up. I'm slowly setting this bike up for the track/racing so I may end up with clip-ons once the susp...

Re: GSXR CONVERSION
A slow process... but now on the look out for radial mounted brakes, lines and MC. Wanting the Yamaha stuff but more GSXR parts available at better price. Also, if anyone has a lower or upper triple clamp for sale - please let me know. Would be helpful to have so I can build the front end up off the...

Re: GSXR CONVERSION
Have purchased a GSXR axle from the states.
I think I just need to change the bearings to retain the Cagiva raptor front rim.

Standard spring rates
Hi all,
Does anyone know what the V-Raptor 1000 fork and shock spring rates are?
Cheers,
Alex
