Re: Error code?
I had a coil fail many years ago but it did give an error that time. But I suppose it depends if it's on the low or high voltage side as I assume the ecu can only detect a low voltage side problem. I used a Suzuki coil easier to get hold of just make sure ht lead is long enough.

Re: Another oldie tank size
Just done 1200 miles around the Scottish highlands.
On one trip getting to a remote filling station at 129 miles on the odo to find they are out of petrol.
Then carried on to the next one at 156 miles on the odo
And put 13.69 litres in is this a record?

Re: Chain/Swingarm Buffer....
Don't know if this will help but I once did a Suzuki with knackered damper, and I used rubber tube sections squashed into it. As I say can't remember exactly what the rap one looks like so this maybe a non starter

Re: Rear shock
It could be damping maybe not enough rebound. I hit a bump hard whilst Coming up to a corner it ejected me skywards but then I had to get hard on the brakes for the corner and whacked my bollocks hard against the tank. I had to slow to a crawl due to the discomfort. It's a bit better now but still n...

Re: Rear shock
It's got 100/175 on the spring but I specified weight aswell . A couple of times I hit a bump and wallop and I'm not sure my kidneys can take anymore. I have backed it off until there is no preload with the bike lifted off the floor but it is still too hard. The shock is new but about a year old as ...

I have a new hagon rear shock and find it a bit hard. I have backed off the spring preload a lot. Does anyone else have one and if so what length of preload is on yours (approx length from top of nut to bottom of head cap) and what damping setting from fully in if you know (big ask I know) .And how ...

Re: Wannabe in Norfolk
As Geoff said they in my opinion have a harsh ride. I am in process of fitting r1 forks which feel softer just bouncing the suspension so hopefully will help. I went for a run with some mates a fortnight ago around Alston area and coming into a corner hit a bump my arse left the seat but had to get ...
