Re: jack up plates
You may be able to achieve s little more jack up by rotating the plates and trying them to see effect.
I found all this out by accident years ago but make sure they clear everything in use and your side stand is still useable

Re: Alternator
In the workshop manual (free copy on here somewhere?) It shows you how to test the regulator/rectifier and the alternator/stator so follow those and post your results. I’m not sure it is a Suzuki specific part anyway, some electricals on the bike are exactly same as Suzuki and some are not! When bik...

Re: Bike check
Just ride it for a few weeks or so and see what comes up and hopefully someone on here can point you in the right direction. Nothing overly common in issues with them, pretty solid all round but depends what you want from it. I have had mine nearly 14 years and others have done monster miles on them...

Re: Raptor Chapter annual meet 2019 14-16 June
Be great to see you all again so do all you can to make it, a raptor is just a bonus after all, people are what matter! I am still not sure about my plans but will be there one way or another (Rap is still in bits, new sidecar is all prepared and ready to fit but recently moved home and still sortin...

Re: New bike.
Best of luck with the BM, nice bike but I, along with many raptor owners, tend to be shortarses (which is why they went for the rap in the first place!) so a GS is pretty impractical for many due to height. I had a Pegaso 650ie many years ago and that was always a challenge and much smaller and lowe...

Re: Dedication or wot?
Been using padded cycle shorts for years!
Much cheaper than gel pads and stuff specifically for motorbikes and it allows you to keep the rap seat standard and whatever bike you ride its a comfier ride!!!

The classified ads section will appear and allow you to post in it after you have written 5 posts I think but that figure may be wrong?
An admin will be along in due course to correct me if necessary.
Welcome in btw, who were you in your previous time on here as I have had mine for about 12 years now?

Re: New member of the fold - a rather different offering
Dont quite get that, the standard brembo calipers might look good but they are really wooden and have poor performance compared to many others.
One of the reasons I changed to R1 forks was so I could ditch the standard calipers and fit the yam blue spots which were a huge improvement
