A Falco shock may well physically fit but if it's spring isn't tuned for the specific geometry & rising rate of the Raptor triangles it isn't going to work well. And looking at the YSS spec for the Aprilia Falco rear shock shows the spring to be 150 n/mm https://www.brooksuspension.co.uk/aprilia...

V Raptor screen anyone ?
Kekat... I've just noticed your clutch cover - where did you get that from?
Is it a standard Suzuki part with a cover over the embossed name?
Cheers,
Andy B.

starting with a photo of the stock rear shock &/or other options re: shock. I have a few on the shelf (dimensions would be awesome if mentioned with the pic!) Too cold to go out into the garage & get I photo but you can't go far wrong with a YSS shock - the MZ456-310TRL-53 is the one you ar...

V Raptor screen anyone ?
I can vouch for it's effectiveness too... I fitted mine 5 years or so ago to lessen the load when commuting on the motorway at err... speed. It really does reduce the shoulder strain. I also got my rear hugger from the same guys too and again it fits nice & tight & has proved very effective ...

YSS Rear shock
Yeah Nitron do do a shock for the Raptor and as you say they are quite pricey, although I often wonder how much of that comes from it being made in the UK rather than any superior quality or damping. And, yes, Nitron will offer a choice of spring rates dependent on the riders weight & riding sty...

Seat release cable.
Hmmm... I just added the pics as an attachment &set it to be inline & that worked.
The cable itself does actually lie flat - I just moved it up so you could see the path.

YSS Rear shock
The WIlbers rear shock I had installed on the Raptor has finally succumbed to mileage & the inclement conditions it was put under e.g. ~60k miles & 5 years all round commuting. The bottom bearing has given up the ghost and collapsed. So after much dithering I opted to replace it with a YSS s...

doesn't take much to wear them out the little white pin just needs a fraction of a mm or two to stop working and it is very soft material that wears quickly Yep and they can also stick along with the switch itself providing a intermittent connection. Cleaning and checking this is one of my regular ...

The only thing that blights my riding of the 1K Rappie is the low seat height and the effect it has on my hip joints, which cramp up all too often when I lift my feet back to the pegs. Being able to flat foot at a standstill is great, but not when I have to start waving my legs around to ease the p...

And 8 grand does seem steep but I notice a couple of magazines have mention both it and the Suzuki TL so the sellers could just be testing the water.

I thought was supposed to have Ohlins suspension No.. I believe it just had the fully adjustable Marzocchis I expect someone has production figures. I dunno about the production figures but How Many Left provides the registered numbers. This is just for the 650 and there are separate pages for the ...
