The second fuse down is marked ignition on the fuse box cover and from what I can ascertain from the manual (page g22) this goes through the engine stop switch to power the ECM and also to power the coils. So perhaps you have a dodgy connection on one of the coils, they're farty little connectors to...

And there's more... and this is the second replacement oil cooler. I changed me route into work and starting using the country lanes (was going way too fast on the motorway and it was only a matter of time) however the oil cooler ended being blocked solid, and I mean solid with general farm waste......

Yeah, looks pretty good to me also. Glinting in the sun and all that... And what is the fairing off? It's doesn't look original to me.
I reckon you'll be fine with the rap valve clearances as mine have been pretty much in spec from 35k (60k now)
Photos to follow..

Re: Rear wheel bearings
Ah; another thing learned today is that it DOES matter which way you put in the long spacer between the bearings! Yep, been there done that. Not sure the if the 1000 is the exactly the same but yes the orientation of the long is critical. I'll get there eventually, though may find it hard to...

Re: The rusty work hoss.
Coming along nicely - plenty of copper slip & ACF50 bought?
I used a set of those renthal grips and they wear well if a little 'hard' on the hands. I only realised this when I replaced them with some Dominos.

Re: The rusty work hoss.
How do you find this stuff andy? Do you have a catalogue of italian bik shops? :D I've used this place before, for a replacement oil cooler, so I know they have broken Raptors about the place. They can't be the most in demand parts & 25 euros strikes me as a bit of a bargain. They may well have...
