Re: Frame dimensions : 650 v 1000
wow, I'm in a state of shock about this site! Normally, if I tell some one i've got a cagiva raptor, i have to explain cagiva's history and what the bike looks like. It's good to have people who know about the bike. for a long time i thought i was the only one in cumbria with one (not so, shedmonkey...

Sorry, but tell me if you find out first...I need to do mine. I'll be more helpful if
I get the answer myself.

Re: Brake Pads
If you're talking about the standard pads (Brembo Frendo 222) using teflon pads would be an improvement. I swapped mine to EBC HH pads and got a good improvement, both in power and feel. The EBC part code for fronts is FA244HH. I don't know the code for the rears because I didn't change them. hope t...

Re: Gear Lever Crossovers and Substitutes
Like to know the answer myself. Wemoto do a reasonably priced fixed replacement, though. Delivery is
reaaly good. You might broaden your search to ducati, because I'm fairly convinced some
Dukes are the same...just can't think which!

Rear disc is 220 diameter, 4 thick.
Not sure what dimension you want on the spindle.

Shedmonkey, (Seems rude to call you Old Git, especially since I'm 45...you may be younger and what does that make me?) Born in Carlisle, live now in Wigton. I'm getting the feeling that the frames are the same, so I might just risk buying the thing. The wobble is only at higher speed, either straigh...

Re: Unaccustomed as I am to joining forums...
New myself, long after I'd discovered the lack of useful info (and parts) for Raptors and struggled through re-building mine, I discovered this site! Still, everyone seems to be friendly (most bikers that I've ever met are good sorts). You'd be surprised what you can bring to the site. Even a bit of...

Re: Metallic grey paint alternative
On the subject of paints, I needed more than touch-up for my rusty bike (stored in a damp garage for five years!) I made a beautiful colour for the frame and swing arm etc from Hammerite. 9 parts smooth black, one part smooth gold. The colour varies between bronze and black depending how the light c...

Re: Gear linkage
I had the same problem with my crashed Raptor. OEM motorparts certainly has it, but it's not cheap. Can it be welded? I got mine welded up by a local sheet metal workshop. So far it has held together fine (touch wood)

Frame dimensions : 650 v 1000
Hi folks, I have spent months getting my crash-damaged 2002 V-Raptor back on the road. With all the hassle of getting parts, I decided to use aftermarket stuff and make it nito a streetfighter. Great joy! The rusty lump became a shiny(ish) naked Raptor, complete with some lovely carbon bits from Sca...
