Re: Owners manual

If you join the Cagiva Raptor's Garage on Facebook, we have an English manual on there in the files section to download. The sections aren't in the right order, but you'll work it out

Re: workshop manual cagiva 650

I'd suggest asking the ebay seller if it's a 650IE(fuel injection) manual or a 650 carby manual. I did what Sheebee suggested, 1000 manual for general things, sv650 manual for the engine.

Re: torque settings ??

As far as I know, there never was a workshop manual for the 650 carby model, but the axle nut torque should be the same as the 1000. 100nm, 10kg/m, 73lb/ft.

Re: best oil ?

I use what is easy to get in case I need a top up in an emergency. Suzuki says to use a 10w/40 oil in that motor. Best to pick one brand and stick to it as different engine oil shouldn't be mixed. I'm currently using this.

Re: Rear Axle Nut

Just take the axle in to a nut and bolt shop and see if they have a nut that fits, or try Parramatta MV Agusta, they have them listed on their website, but it doesn't necessarily mean they will have one. I have got parts for my Navigator from them. http://shop.mvap.com.au/part/mv-agusta/800095003#top

Re: speedo sensor

Could try a Honeywell GT101 hall effect sensor. the measurements are pretty much the same dimensions, but the cylinder is longer, so would need some sort of spacer to keep it clear of the caliper bolt that it picks up off. https://au.rs-online.com/web/p/magnetic-pickups/2355706/ Here's a wikipedia l...

Re: Vehicle safety switch

Hey Yeah! I think the link Shebee gave you is just a bad drawing. If you look at this link, same part number for item 19 but it doesn't have the wires coming out the back https://www.bike-parts-mv.com/mvagusta-motorcycle/F4/2005/F4_1000S_1+1/BATTERY--ECU/38/26/0/116 I also did a bit of a dig around ...

Re: Cagiva/Aprilia suspension triangles

Maybe some custom triangles with the 57mm/62mm dimensions changed. These are the dimensions for the jack up triangle. Raptertriangles.jpg Also be aware the V-raptor/Xtra Raptor and 650IE have a different part number for the suspension link, maybe that needs to be lengthened or shortened. Shouldn't b...

Re: Front forks

I had a look at an owners manual for the V-Raptor and it showed adjustable forks, hopefully someone here that owns one can confirm that. If you have a look at this Brembo catalog on page 38 and 39 http://www.cyclebrakes.com/brembo_catalog.pdf it shows the Cagivas and Ducatis that share the same cali...

Re: Front forks

G'day mate, welcome in! Be aware that the V and Xtra Raptors have different front forks to a standard Raptor. Have a look at the parts list available here http://img.webike.net/sys_images/genuine/parts_list/CAGIVA/,04/Z4%20A-B-Xtra%2005-2003.pdf On pages 118 to 121 the front forks are listed. If you...

Re: End of an era ...

The footrest hanger casting appears identical to the one on the 1K but is modified in the mold by at least half an inch, such that one's knee angle is appreciably less extreme. Might not be enough for your bones, of course. I've also seen lowering footrest mounts suitable for Raptors on ebay There ...

Sounds like the water drain hole for the spark plug is blocked. Had the same problem with my 650 until I unblocked the drain hole.
