Raptor Parts on eBay

Did any see the raft of Raptor parts on eBay recently? They were from the guy who converted a brand new X-Raptor in to a trike. He did advertise on here but didn't reply to my enquiry. I have to say I was absolutely livid when, having watched the various auctions for a while, to see him pull the auc...

Why didn't you just find a dyno place that had a Teka box and use theirs?

Once the internal map has been updated the box is unplugged and is no further use to you.

What a bizarre place to put the remote reservoir for the rear shock.

Is that a standard place to locate it or is that an aftermarket item?

I would have thought putting it as far away from the engine as possible would be the smart idea.

In case it wasn't clear the bloke on the left is me and the bloke on the right is also Mike Edwards. Only difference is that he's the talented one and can actually ride a bike without falling off :D

On the other hand it's amazing what you can do with a large piece of wood when things like subframes need straightening.

The subframe is part of the main frame due to the welding. They can be cut off and replacements welded on. I've got one that now bolts on to my Raptor but it didn't come cheap.

Racing Raptors

My bike at Silverstone over the weekend. Two wins out of three. Missed out on the third win by 0.006 seconds but still got the top step of the podium on overall results.

I think they were doing the usual MCN trick and telling us what we already know, i.e. the updated Raptor 650 will be out shortly. MCN have the approach that if you throw enough rumours around you are bound to get a few right eventually. The obvious Aprilia 450 SuperMoto engine in the old RS250 chass...

6 x 20 minute sessions is about right for the UK also.

That's the only confirmed race this year as budget is a bit tight. You can always come out and play at any of the Motorcycle Folly track days this year where I'll be using the bike for instructing. Their track day dates include: 17 May 2005 Mallory Park 9 June 2005 Cadwell (Full Circuit) 11 July 200...

Raptor Racing

Although I'm not racing much this year my Raptor 650 will be getting an outing in the hands of the 'other' Mike Edwards (ex-British SuperSport 600 Champion). He will be riding in the MRO MiniTwins round at Silverstone on the 21st and 22nd May. If anyone happens to be there make sure you come along a...

The 2005 model Raptor 650 will be available around August/September time.

It will use the fuel injected SV650 engine and have the new rear suspension linkage found on the other models.

No word yet on whether the forks and shock will have any additional adjustment.
