The Hairy One Returns Again...Oh Dear.

Hi to all of you lovely peoples at the Chapter.

Yes, it's unfortunately true that Hairy Mark will not go away forever.

I hope you are all fine and thriving. I have not been entirely idle since I last visited, even if it sometimes took time lapse photography to detect any signs of life. I had one of my many mental aberrations recently and decided to upgrade Bella's legs (Bella is my Raptor 1000, I have not been practising amateur surgery on some unsuspecting female). I will submit a post about it when I've remembered how to add photos etc, but in the meantime, here's the gist of the operation:

1. Strip out old forks and find that they are even more knackered than I thought.
2. Get the fork bottoms powder coated black and have new titanium nitride coated stanchions fitted.
3. Have the fork outer sleeves anodised black to match the lowers and get them re-honed.
4. Add Matris fully adjustable cartridge kits, along with new seals, bushes and dust-seals.
5. Throw in a pair of Dymag carbon fibre wheels and Galfer wave brake discs, alloy rear sprocket and new tyres.
6. Shout at the bank manager who has very unreasonably become irate about all the spending.
7. Put it all together and see what difference it makes. (I haven't got this far yet)

If anybody wants to know anything about any of my mods, give me a shout and I'll happily expand (on the facts, that is...I won't inflate like a balloon.)
