Hello, well the rain stopped any plans I had for riding this weekend so while idly surfing I stumbled upon these:

Never heard of them before, anyone have them? Are they just a gimmick or do they work?
Cheers

30 % noise reduction. Would it really be worth it. An old chain will always make more noise than a new one in good nic. Wouldn't mind seeing one in action though to see if it's smoother
Re: Silent Sprockets
Hmm, interesting concept, but I, for one, wasn't aware that transmission noise was a problem looking for a solution! They do look nifty though, I'll give them that. I see they do them for a 'Busa so it sounds like one could be made to fit a rap. Are they made of ergal, or what? An ergal rear is on my wish list as my current rear is heavier than the OEM one and it seems like a good idea to try and keep unsprung weight down.
Road racing's where it's at - going round in circles all day is for hamsters.
Re: Silent Sprockets
Never heard of ergal before but apparently it was used in the airframe of the Zero:

The rap 1000 and tl already have the rubber cushion as oem on the front sprocket anyway,i always wondered what that rubber piece was supposed to do
