Secondary Air System Hose/Tube

Post by OZRaptor1000 »

I have just bought a 2004 Raptor 1000. To get it registered in QLD (Australia) I need to replace a few bits.
Does anyone know the size of the rubber hose/tube that runs from front exhaust pipe outlet to the 'vac pump'.
I am not to keen to pul it off and find out the local parts store doesn't have any.
Does anyone make a OEM replacement?
I am also getting a replacement front fender (in red), I thought the colour was black but my matte black helmet next to the tank makes the tank looks kinda dark .
silver, does anyone know the paint name so I can get the fender properly resprayed. (local panel shop had to be spelt Cagiva).
Any help is greatly appreciated :) .

Get a parts list from here mate http://img.webike.net/sys_images/genuin ... 5-2003.pdf Colour codes are on page 3.
The hose you refer to I'm guessing is the pairs system pictured on page 56 of the above parts list. Most people remove the whole system and blank it off with metal plates. Do a search on here for "pairs" or a google search for "pairs tl1000". Suzuki would stock the part but I think that any hose the correct size will work. Anything for the motor you can get from Suzuki, and Cagiva parts from Mv Agusta dealers, but they may be difficult to get. Paul Feeney Group does have some parts, contact them on ebay http://www.ebay.com.au/usr/paulfeeneygroupptyltd
Where are you in Queensland?

Thanx Aussiejoe the Cagiva parts list is a big help. Now if only i could find the part i need in real life that would be 'unbeleivable'. The TL1000s is different to the Cagiva. Not real big on blanking it off as I am not too sure exactly what it does (been thru the -Yeh umm, well if I put that 'bit' back on then maybe it will work again). There is only 1 place I know of in QLD that want to know about Cagiva & they wanted $460 for an unpainted unoriginal front mudguard. looked at the Paul Feeney ebay bit, but nothing. Will try try a Suzuki dealer in Rocky or Mackay as their both 3 1/2 hrs drive away. Thanks again aussiejoe

Who was it that you spoke to that wanted $460 for a front guard? Cagiva parts are very expensive compared to Jap bike parts. I'm restoring my 650 at the moment and having trouble getting parts. MV Agusta is in financial trouble and the place I was going to get them from in France http://www.bike-parts-mv.com/tarif_mv_agusta.php is not getting parts, most people on here use https://www.oemmotorparts.com but they can't get Cagiva parts at the moment either and they're really expensive, and so is freight. I've been buying any parts I find that I might need off ebay over the last couple of years. This is probably the cheapest mudguard you'll get, I got a complete set of body work off them a while back. http://www.trenditaly.com/parafango-ant ... -7173.html
