MIVV Silencers ??

Post by OZRaptor1000 »

Has anyone fitted MIVV Oval Classic Silencers to a Raptor 1000?
I have just bought a kit from Italy,
More torque & power would be nice but I am really after that LOUD & DEEP exhaust note with db killers removed.
Not fussed at all by those with 'official' pens & pads. Really just want some gorgeous twin THUMPING,

Sorry - my bike still has standard pipes!
Someone guttered them though - really quite loud and booming.

Let me know how these pipes go - I'm trying to figure out my options. Might have to get something made up...

They are MIVV Exhausts, no way are they silencers.

Maybe "thunderers" would be a better name.

I have two Xtra Raptors (See old post "Bat Bike"). One has MIVVs (which I bought from Italy and fitted on a my new Raptor) and one has Remus (which came with Raptor 2 bought second hand). Both options make a nice sound and are far lighter than the stock pipes. I tried the MIVVs without the DB killer but it was just too noisy! There is no point making noise for the sake of it. Although I did not use a dyno, I reckon running without the DB killers actually reduces torque as well. But nothing to stop you experimenting!
