Tanks 1000 v 650

Post by Chefbruz »

can anyone tell me if the tanks are interchangable on the 1000 and 650?

I believe the frame is the same on both models

pretty sure the tanks are the same although 650 one may be slightly narrower, just not sure!
If frame is same then fittings should be same to attach the tank.

The 650 carby, 650ie (injected) and the 1000 all have different tanks. The 650IE and the 1000 have the fuel pumps mounted underneath in the tanks, the carby ones doesn't have the pump. The hole in the tank for the 650IE pump is round, and the 1000 is oval.
