just made a 6400km trip around UK, Norway and Sweden and i tested the consumption a bit:

i managed to run 100kms with only 4.5 liters of fuel! that's running a VERY constant 60mph on the motorway (i was preserving my pilot power to get back home  ). If you know that the thou usually slurps 7-8 liters, or sometimes more than 10 liters per 100km in town, than that's very good i think :)

the light would have come on theoretically at about 240kms, which is about 150 miles! i filled up at 100kms though, force of habit

Fuel 80 miles full tank

Post by Bazza »

I'm only getting 70 - 75 miles on a full tank before the green flashing light.
which has been concerning me. But today I ran completely dry only 3 miles after the green flashing light started, and yes you guessed it miles from the nearest station....
I know this isn't just my full throttle driving style is it?
The bike is mechanically as standard.

Anyone know where to start lookin?

I did the local 'egg run' last easter, less than 20 miles, less than 20 mph but the light came on, how bad is that, usually got about 100 miles to the light if rode staedy. now have a Triumph Daytona 955, that seems to do about 40 per gal

i ran almost empty the other day (bike stalled during braking),
and i filled up 13,5 liters

i'm guessing there's about 14 liters in the rap 1000 tank. Not a drop more!

just FYI ;)
