Electronic ignition diagnotic tool on ebay

Post by cgrigson »

Dear all,
There's a guy selling this EFI diagnostic tool on ebay from Germany. Here's one... Item number 120409792638. It seems to display the fault codes and from what I can tell not much else. Am I correct in thinking that by using a simple jumper in the dagnostics socket we can all display the same fault codes on the instrument panel? Or is it worth buying one of them?

Probably not worth it as the fuel injection fault codes can be seen on the speedo when the bikes put into dealer mode. Dealer mode can be activated by shorting two wires on the diagnostic plug.

Don't bother with this product. Wire is cheaper.

Check you're battery as this can cause all sorts of weird problems if it isn't in good condition. failing that it'll be a duff connection in the loom somewhere. Beware the green contacts. :)
