new gear lever assembly

Post by yeah! »

Hello All!!!

My parts dealer, Peter Stevens in Melbourne Australia, has recently confirmed that they can't source a new gear lever assembly from MV in Italy as MV's policy is ( now ? ) not to keep parts for bikes over 10 years old. Mine is a 2004 Raptor 1000. I confirmed it with another dealer in a different Australian state. Sad but true....

Anyone know of a supplier / dealer that has one of these in stock? Contact details would be appreciated.

It's autumn here in Perth Western Australia and still beautifully warm so wonderful riding weather

Thanks everyone and Happy Easter

So,we haven't found a gear lever from another bike that matches?
The only solution is to change the whole system with an aftermarket?

When I had a broken 'dogleg' link I tried using the Suzuki part (for the TL) but it was angled wrong. It seems you'd need a complete remake of the lever, joints and links not something from another bike.

I have a suzuki sv lever that was a repairer you can have, i could have a look see if it looks similar but i dont think it will fit? Its about the same length but the inner bush size 12mm might be a worry.
