Yet Another RBR Mission

Post by Miz »

Decided to take the Xtra to work yesterday to get a head start for some more LM's for the RBR, I only had Friday evening and today free, so the challenge was set.....

Now I am sat at home, yesterday I found the LM's in Buckinghamshire, Middlesex, Surrey, West Sussex and East Sussex before pitching the tent near Lewes, then today I found the LM's in Kent, London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire. So with about 15hrs on the bike in 2 days have managed 13 LM's and 560 miles on all types of roads from motorways to gravel tracks.

It's been a really good couple of days of training for our Scotland trip starting on 16th June

I stopped for an ice cream at a local scenic beauty spot the other day. When I'd finished I found that the gate at the bottom of the access road had been locked. The only way back to the main road was up a fairly steep grassy incline and through some bollards.

I successfully negotiated this without drama or recourse to standing on the footpegs.

I feel that I have now done more actual off-roading than 90% of BMW GS riders.

In my search for LandMarks for the RBR I have even done a rocky track through a forest in Scotland, was more like trials riding than green laning...

The race cans scare the c**p out of the walkers
