Buell and Italian Motorcycle Festival 2014

The whole Spring Bank Holiday weekend is going to be something special for Buell enthusiasts and Erik Buell Racing.

We will have a presence at World Superbikes Donington, Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th, with the new Team Hero EBR superbike race team and then our Buell & Italian Festival on Monday 26th in Lincolnshire.

It's normally a Saturday but now on the Monday.

Yeah I'm up for arriving on the Saturday and then we could go for a run on the Sunday around some of the local roads.
I'm not familiar with any of the local roads but I'm sure we can sort something out perhaps finishing off at the coast for fish and chips.

We shall mostly be dragging the fleet out of hibernation this week, preparation for our first event of the year.

The Aviation Centre has issued an update for our event, a B17 Flying Fortress has been added to the aircraft display program.....

We will have three taxi-runs of the Lancaster (11am, 1.30pm and 4.00pm) and our resident Dakota will be displaying for us.

We will also be visited by two P-51 Mustangs which will be providing displays during the day and we will have a flying display from 'Sally B' the B17 Flying Fortress!

On top of that the BBMF Spitfire will be giving us a flypast!!!

We hope to be able to get the B17, DC3 Dakota and Mustangs all up together for a multi aircraft formation flypast.

Unlikely that I will be able to get down this year. The Raptor is still off the road - though I have nearly finished putting it back together. Still need to get a couple of bits fot it and tax & MOT. Unfortunately I'm skint at the moment so I don't reckon it will be ready in time. May still go on the BMW but I'm still skint, so maybe not.

Will see how the bank balance is holding up nearer the date.
