I am up for a meet, any suitable rallies on that weekend in reasonably accessible spots?

Ok so this looks like it could be a goer then. :D
I am thinking about somewhere in Derbyshire as it's very central in the country. Even from my house or the south coast it's only about 230 Miles.

How does that sound to everyone? The only problem now is finding a campsite that takes groups, bikers and has a pub nearby.

I might be able to help out, living in the area, can help :happyhappy:

So I can offer some suggestions and check out any suggestions you have.

First is The Knockerdown near Carsington Water

Second is The Ostrich closer to Derby.

Let me know if you need more suggestions, or if you need me to go and test the beer etc.

Only problem with a camping meet in August of course is the school holiday effects: cost, availability, unable to book for groups.

The knocker down doesn't accept groups and although the ostrich does they take a deposit of you In case there is any damage/complaints etc.

The miners standard and barn farm look like they could be goers. I will try and phone round a couple to see if they take rowdy bikers. :revrev:

Ok spoke to the lady at the Miners standard and they are happy to accept a group of bikers. It's £5 a night and there is availability for that weekend 15th/16th August.
There is a pub on site and they will do us breakfast we can also have bbq's but would need to provide our own.

So how does that sound? Sounds good to me. :happyhappy:

If everyone thinks that is ok I will start a new thread to get definates etc. They require a deposit of £5 to book.
Norrie.
