Embarrassingly for me... after receiving my new brake push rod I decided it didn't fit and required fettling. ....

So I cut a bit off the end with my trusty hacksaw only to find that the rod hadn't located properly at my first attempt and the actual size required was the size sent!

Back to the drawing board and another 13squid..or I'll probably make my own this time so I can really mess this up!

Oops.

We have all been there!

Good news....kinda got a get out of jail free card....wasn't a mistake after all..rejigged a couple of bits and hey presto it worked fine!

Now bleeding the bleeding thing was a different matter.
Big Thankyou to all the post regarding bleeding up the rear caliper...what a mission. ..thought I was going mental!
Ended up removing the caliper and placing it on my seat....right pain but did the job. Still having a little trouble as it's still a little weak for my tastes....may try a power bleeder at some point!
Hoping for an MOT this week....
