yoshimura (yosh box) help?
Hi all, i am new to this site, just found it. I am an ex Brit now living in New Zealand. I bought a V-Raptor (VR) as insurance write off, no plastics left at all, more like a Raptor at the moment. I have made some mods, exhaust, Air filter, TRE, and Airbox.
So i have been offered a Yosh Box so i can make some alterations to the bottom end. I know this Yosh Box is for a TL1000. The wiring diagrams for the two bikes are different, well at least different colours. Will a TL1000 Yosh Box work on my VR1000? How do i know which wire goes to what? Has anyone done this before? I know which of the 9 wire's is dealer mode.
Thanks for any input.

Welcome in
Yes it will - you'll need a socket to fit the Cagiva end, and the wire to wire is detailed somewhere in here - search for 'yoshi'
I remember writing out the wiring transfers, so maybe I should have a look i I can find the thread.

So if I want to make a home made connector for the yoshi box since I'm not paying 45$ for an adaptor that costs no more than 3$ how do I have to make the connections?snapdragon wrote:55 years agoHere ya go gblock1000

which cagiva color connects with which suzuki color?By the way, the wiring from the Yoshi goes (did I already mention this?)
from the SUZUKI socket (four and four)
brown,.white,.red,.'empty'
black,.yellow,.green,.blue
to the CAGIVA adapter (five and five)
blue,.yellow,.green,.brown,.white
empty,.empty,.empty, black,.red
white to white brown to brown etc?

Re: yoshimura (yosh box) help?
At the second image I guess that the numbers are the matching cables?
so the 1 cable at the upper plug goes to the 1 at the other plug?

Yes, It does on mine Dante -- the suzuki plug is in two rows of four connections as listed above and the cagiva is in two rows of five connections, so the brown (top left) goes to the cagiva second from right.Dante wrote:55 years agoSo if I want to make a home made connector for the yoshi box since I'm not paying 45$ for an adaptor that costs no more than 3$ how do I have to make the connections?snapdragon wrote:55 years agoHere ya go gblock1000

colours of course may vary, this is just the way that my cagiva link has been made

hmm according to the pic you posted I seem to have written the colours upside down
I obviously have no idea 'which way is up'

Re: yoshimura (yosh box) help?
I think that at the second image the plug is upside down.
but the important thing besides the colors, which are different at each bike,is the numbers at the second image, which must be which cable matches to each plug.
at your bike the colors may be different but they match the same with mine since the plug should be for all the cagiva models.
when I'll have some time I'll make a hand made connector and give it a shot.
I'm getting my raptor for a tps/tbs check and I'll also connect it to a yoshi box to check and the injection settings

Re: yoshimura (yosh box) help?
Dante, I haven't checked the colours on the bike - the colours are the way the suzuki plug attaches to the one which matches the cagiva from the Yoshi
IF it ever stops raining I'll check if I can see the colours on the bike-end socket
and try to take some pics to illustrate

Re: yoshimura (yosh box) help?
Bringing the thread back as I need some help.
Went for a dyno run and an injection set up with the yoshi box but I couldnt get the yoshi box to work with the wirings at the pics above.
So since I guess snap is the only one owning the adaptor,I need you to snap to get me 5-6 photos of the adapter showing the cables...
If you cant upload them ,tell me to give you an email to send them.
Spent like 1 hour with the mechanic trying different pins and connections but nothing worked.
