RHS fork leg or stanchion needed

Post by Sheepracer » Tue Jun 07, 2016 12:17 pm

Just took the brake calipers off to service and noticed my fork seal weeping, found a finger nail size rust patch on the stanchion which is to blame. If no one has one or a complete leg I've found them for £115 online. Is that a good price for a single stanchion?

Sounds a good price to me, if the quality is good. :)

I'm fitting r1 forks in my 1000, so will have forks and brake calipers going spare, but I will be a week or so until I do the swap over, and will want to sell the forks as a pair, ditto the calipers, all in good condition. :)

I would take £100 + postage, when I get to swap the forks over, which should be in the next couple of weeks, I will pop some pics up showing any blemishes if you are interested when I get them off the bike. :)

I'm ready for the swap out, working most of this week though, so I think I will have it done by early next week mate, or maybe this week if all goes well as I have Wednesday off, if it's not lashing it down. :)

The forks are off now, it's been fun doing the conversion, but I'm nearly there, just need to make a few bits, but the forks are ready, will get some pics up for you.
