Wanted rear brake master rod

Post by Dapper dan » Fri Mar 17, 2017 7:50 pm

Howdy!

I'm after a rear brake master cylinder rod and any other linkage parts......
It's a long shot but somone might have one under a flower pot or body buried in the garden!

Cheers!

Just cut the end off a bolt and round the end off with a grinder if it's just the rod you need. I made one up when I changed to rosmoto rear-sets, but it cost me a night in hospital after a close encounter with a cut off wheel on a grinder. I recommend using a hacksaw to cut the bolt head off, and doing it while sober

My Xtra raptor came without the rear brake caliper, master cylinder and any other linkages. :(
Ive got everything now from the caliper to the master cylinder so just case of sorting out the linkages and rod. :?

I might take your advice on making a rod from a bolt..but it's the other silly bloody linkages too from the fpot lever..... :suspect:

Also while I'm at it...the rear brake light switch..is it generic with any other bikes because that's missing too!

Just a quick update on brake rod situation.

I bought a clevis and rod off ebay. Its originaly for a Mt125- yrz125...was about £13.

Had to trim a tiny bit in length to the end of the rod and also add to the thread length using a Die to get the correct adjustment...but fits pretty good! :tada:
