I still have the rear exhaust part and some front parts to complete your exhaust if you need it.

if it can help....
No need, exhaust is already modified...
It can be seen if you watch precisely enough. ;)

V4mp wrote:55 years agoBike rides pretty nicely, only thing that really irritates me is how stiff rear end is. Looks like I've to change rear spring to softer one.
The question is how much softer, I think I need suspension specialist to answer that question.
Decreased preload to minimum and the ride is way better!
Next step is to play with compression, rebound settings... :revrev:

Very little has happen since last post... Because I live about 200km from my bike. :(
Its great to have work, but it makes bike building harder almost impossible.
I've to find space to store my bike... If I don't I'm going crazy, what else you can do in the winter, but modifying your bike?

Since last post I've installed bellypan and swingarm cover, relocated piggypack. Pictures coming later. ;)

To do list:
- R1 forks
- Rear brake caliper
- Motogadget goodies

Long time since last post.
Here is what has happen...

This winter number one thing was to get R1 forks fitted.
When I bought R1 forks, I bought it as a kit. Reason for that was, I had made Monster fork swap before and learned that it needs less fabrication more parts you use from donor bike. R1 kit included: forks, front wheel, front axle, brake calipers, master cylinder and lower yoke with steering stem.
From complete front end I was just missing caliper bolts, brake lever, front axle spacers and top yoke. After purchasing missing parts it was time for measuring and engineering how to fit R1 front end to Raptor. First idea was to modify R1s steering stem to fit, but it was ditched after more measuring and engineering. New idea was to use Raptors stock steering stem and fit it to R1 yokes using spacers. So I took parts to machinist and hoped I had planned everything right. When I received parts from machinist and started to installing them I was reliefed, everything fitted pretty much as planned. Minor problems were top yokes hiting ignition switch cover rubber and steering locks claw. But problems were easily solved with angle grinder.
Next thing was to decide should I go with clip-ons or regular handlebar.

That's definitely the way to do it. When I was investigating a similar project I soon realised that it's not just a case of buying the forks and slapping them on. It was all the peripheral stuff that had to be sourced which put me off. BTW why did you use the R1 yokes as didn't the forks slip into the existing ones?
Next thing was to decide should I go with clip-ons or regular handlebar.
I suspect this may well be decided by how the horns limit travel more than anything else.

Looking good though 8)

Nice to hear from your beautiful project again!
I'm involved in five bike projects this time and I'm also using the complete running gear from the donner bikes as it's make everything easier
